My Commitment to CAP

My Commitment is to...

  • communicate with one voice.
  • provide support, freedom and resources for members to perform their duties and execute their responsibilities, but hold them accountable for their charges.
  • be a source of resources and support to accomplish ALL three missions of CAP for the units and individual members.
  • deal candidly and professionally with issues and problems, whether individual or institutional.
  • respect the voice of each member without prejudice, regardless of grade, position, tenure or other differences.
  • view issues with an open mind to a variety of ideas, both new and old.
  • focus on our customers at all echelons and those customers outside of CAP for whom and with whom we work.

I expect…

  • all of us to work as a team to improve CAP and achieve our goals by working smart, while being genuinely happy about our involvement in CAP.
  • direct and candid dialogue when discussing options, opportunities and problems.
  • a united front once the options have been weighed and a decision has been made by the Commander.
  • respect towards each other without prejudice, regardless of grade, position, tenure or other differences.
  • members to communicate with one another.
  • customer focus.

I believe…

  • people should say what they mean and do what they say
  • the best way to lead is to continuously learn and grow.
  • success comes from highly motivated, competent people who share a vision and work together to reach it.
